Message I've put together ten things I've done to my car. Each one of them costs under $50 and made my Z considerably more enjoyable.

Check it out and feel free to add your favorite inexpensive mods to the list. :-)

1) SilverTwin's short shifter. Once you get used to it, you wonder how you ever lived without it. Some may not like the stubby look though, I personally love it.

2) Moroso water overflow tank. This mod makes too much sense to overlook, especially if you're going with aftermarket SMIC's.

Here are the part numbers from Summit Racing.
Overflow tank: MOR-63657
Bracket: 63401

3) Gauge rings, I got mine from SnowFlake Customs. It's very tasteful-looking in person.

4) McMaster replacement struts. After the hatch slammed shut and nearly shattered the glass while doing work in the trunk area, I knew it was time to buy those. I got the 125 lb struts.

5) TT sway bar for NA. Just put the two side by side and you'll see how dinky the NA anti-sways are. (thanks again for that Jeff).

6) Amplified radio antenna. Never have a broken mast again, no motors going up and down every time you turn on the radio. It's just a little black box that uses the antenna input on the radio as a ground and has a +12V wire powering it. Perfect reception. I had my antenna shaved by the body shop.

7) Hella air horns. Bye Bye queer Z honk.

8) New battery negative cable. You should all inspect the cable where it meets the firewall. It often cracks at that location.

9) PTU relocation, AIV & EGR elimination. Makes the engine bay much easier to work on. For the record, I never had any issues after the EGR bypass.

10).....I ran out of ideas. Anyone care to suggest something?

George
